Grippo Family

The Grippo family who five years ago opened the famous Dolce Amore Gelateria on Commercial Drive in the heart of “Little Italy”, had a simple desire when they embarked with their winebar: to create an environment where people could experience a casual evening with friends and family and enjoy fine wines and special plates of food in a comfortable neighbourhood surrounding.

The owners of Divino Winebar, which opened in July 2009, commissioned a mural from a Calgary artist to run the entire length of the winebar’s sunny south wall beside the terrace on Graveley Street.  In the summer months the patio is open and offers a great view of life on “the Drive” and a alfredo surrounding while enjoying a glass of wine.
